Jugaad - how feni.finance came to life

JUGAAD is a documentary that traces the journey of how feni.finance was built through people, purpose, and persistence. What began as a simple idea: "to connect cinema with finance and give creators and audiences a shared stake in storytelling" soon grew into a movement. Through moments of struggle, innovation, and unshakable belief, Jugaad captures the real faces and voices behind Feni’s rise. From young dreamers to independent filmmakers, it’s a story about the power of community, creativity, and the Indian spirit of making things happen against all odds.

The story

This documentary film is not just about feni, it's about the differences in Indian society coming together and being showcased for the world. During our journey we have met people from all different professions and listened carefully to their struggles with the purpose to build a global Indian company. Our travels has given us unforgettable moments from the Golden temple in Amritsar, to the beautiful mountains in Himachal and perspectives from remote societies in Bihar, big city life in Mumbai and much much more. Indian companies are known to be copycats, but this story is different. The team of feni is on a mission to not only build a great Indian company but also globalise the Indian community so more talented entrepreneurs can think bigger.

The company

Feni is an abbreviation: "For every new independence", and just as that we pursued the decision to join in on one of the world's most complicated competitions, the movie industry. It all started in Stockholm City as the idea simply came to us describing the vision as a marketplace for movies based on new technology to help diversify films.

For reasons such as stupid or courageous we collected our piggy bank money and travelled to Mumbai to pursue a mission. Truth is, it always gets a little harder so we too first had to survive tricky Mumbai for some time before finding the right understanding of what we were doing.

Still we were lucky to also find friends in India, one of them was Mr. Chauhan who believed in us with his support so that we could assimilate a team of freelancers from around the world. Mr. Chhabra was appointed as head of technology holding the lines from the North of India and our marketing team of Vaishali Negi as the coordinator and Yashasvi Raikwar as the balancing associate. With patience similar to the turtle in the race with the rabbit; feni.finance is slowly progressing by every meeting to become an industry that filmmakers and financiers can count on for motion pictures.
