Let's go blind
When James, a visually impaired sound designer, returns to Calicut from London to record a podcast capturing Kerala’s authentic soundscapes, he expects a quiet week reconnecting with his roots. But a routine field recording near a mosque turns chilling when, through his headphones, he hears the faint but unmistakable sounds of a murder.
Armed only with his keen sense of hearing and a handheld audio recorder, James captures critical details — a cry, a splash, a phone number — without ever seeing the crime. As the ambient world of Kerala fills his microphone, James becomes an accidental witness to something no one else hears.
Blindfold is an immersive sound-only thriller that unravels entirely through layers of ambient noise, dialogue, and memory — where what you hear can become the most powerful form of evidence.
Blindfold is not just a story told through sound — it is a world entirely experienced through sound. Told from the perspective of James, a visually impaired sound designer, the film invites the audience into a fully immersive, first-person sonic narrative where ears replace eyes. We don’t see what James doesn’t. We listen exactly as he does — with sharp attention, emotional instinct, and absolute focus.
"It immerses viewers in the unseen world of sound like a longterm marriage" - Binoy Karamen.

As we already have found a great partner in Dolby, who delivers the sound system to many homes and cinema halls around the world we know that as long as we do our job with focus, this project will do good business. The underlining vision is still a good cause and that is why we first will approach Film festival of our understanding to first grow the movies follower base.
META ads will be another strategy we have planned for accordingly with the budget to first get a local impression that can grow to a global interest. Because of the nature of the movie and the fairly high priced budget we have a great chance to breakeven if we together make the decision to watch Blindfold in cinemas for a couple of days. This may be created by a private event that will sponsored by us in corporation with NGO's focused on helping blind people.

Is the upcoming production house behind this initiative with Binoy Karamen as the leader. Karamen and Crew works from Kerala and are firmly showing growth in one of India's most potentially attractive movie industry for the future. The team on their way to tell great stories...
